G.S.R.………….(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Customs Tariff (Identification and Assessment of Safeguard Duty) Rules, 1997 and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 115/2013 – Customs (N.T.), dated the 27^th November, 2013, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R. 753(E), dated the 27^th November, 2013,  the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Ram Tirath as the Director General (Safeguard) for the purposes of the said rules.
